Guidelines for SCEL Associate Trainers

Trainers contractually related to SCEL may use the name, logo, promotional materials, and training materials developed by SCEL to encourage IE Training.

Independent contracts

When an associate trainer signs an independent contract to work through SCEL, the following guidelines apply:

  • The focus of training must be Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment in compliance with guidelines established by ICELP.
  • Trainers will use the IE Teacher's Manuals and student pages, which will be ordered from SCEL.
  • Trainers will reimburse SCEL at the list price for the materials used.
  • Trainers will use the SCEL Tote Bags and will reimburse SCEL for $10 per bag.
  • Trainers will make a Certification Assignment for each level of training.
  • Trainers will provide the following information to SCEL:

  •
    • Daily Schedule for Training
    • Copies of all Handouts
    • A Proposed Budget for each Project
    • A copy of the Certification Assignment
    • Copies of Evaluation Forms from each Participant

Upon completion of training, the trainer will submit the names of participants who completed all of the training to SCEL. Certificates will be ordered and will be awarded by SCEL to those who complete the Certification Assignment.

Upon completion of training, trainers will pay $40, per participant, to SCEL. (This amount will be forwarded to ICELP to cover the costs of participant certificates.) In addition, 10% of training fees will be paid to SCEL.

SCEL Contracts

When SCEL engages the services of an associate trainer to work with a client and to fulfill a contract, or to assist with training at the SCEL Summer Workshops or other engagements, training fees shall be negotiated for each incident. SCEL will make all arrangements, furnish all materials, pay travel expenses, and provide lodging for the associate trainer.

SCEL reserves the right to deviate from these guidelines when circumstances warrant changes that are agreeable to both SCEL and the associate trainer, and in agreement with ICELP policies and procedures.

Our Theoretical Base

Professor Reuven Feuerstein's programs are based on two very important theoretical principles – Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated Learning Experience. For an elaboration of these theories, go to the ICELP web site at www.icelp.org.
